POSITION SUMMARY  

The Application Systems Administrator III (M365/SharePoint) is responsible for the administration, configuration, and support of Microsoft 365 and SharePoint Online platforms within a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This position ensures that collaboration, document management, and workflow tools are optimized to meet the needs of the business while adhering to GxP and other regulatory requirements. The Administrator plays a key role in managing data stores and their security and implementing policies to support these systems. The Administrator will also work closely with other departments working on projects related to applications and systems that they will support. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 

System Administration & Configuration 

  • Manages and maintains Microsoft 365 services, including SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and other related or integrated software. 
  • Configures and administers SharePoint sites, libraries, workflows and permissions to support the business. 
  • Develops and enforces standards, security models, and best practices for data architecture and content management. 
  • Administers other collateral systems appropriate to the role, i.e. backup/restore systems, authentication systems, user management, printing, etc. 

Operational Support & Troubleshooting 

  • Provides advanced troubleshooting and resolution for system and user issues within M365/SharePoint and other related software solutions. 
  • Supports integration of M365/SharePoint with other enterprise applications as needed (e.g., LIMS, ERP, etc.). 

Training & User Support 

  • Provides end-user training, documentation, and support to promote adoption of M365/SharePoint tools across the organization. 
  • Acts as a subject matter expert for our MS services and related software solutions. 

Cross-Functional Collaboration 

  • Works with other teams in the organization to align system capabilities with business needs. 
  • Partners with IT Security and Compliance teams ensure adherence to cybersecurity and data protection standards. 
  • Works with Microsoft and third-party vendors to resolve issues and implement solutions. 
  • Pursues participation or leads project teams outside the normal course of work (i.e. “collateral duties”) as they become available to support personal growth, connection, and business needs. 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES  

Required: 

  • A solid working knowledge of networking principles, including the OSI and TCP/IP network models, subnetting and VLANs, ports and protocols, routing, firewalling, WiFi, VPN’s, etc. 
  • Microsoft 365 Ecosystem Deep understanding of M365 services, including Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, Power Platform, and SharePoint. 
  • SharePoint Administration Knowledge of site collections, site architecture, permissions models, workflows, and governance best practices. 
  • Cloud and Hybrid Environments Understanding Azure Active Directory, authentication (SAML, OAUth, SSO, MFA), and hybrid SharePoint/Exchange environments. 
  • Collaboration & Teamwork – Strong, collaborative relationship management and interpersonal skills required to quickly gain confidence of stakeholders and team members. Demonstrates a bias towards action, the ability and willingness to give and receive constructive feedback, is comfortable working within a diverse team and across multiple functions, exhibits a consistently constructive attitude, and is adaptable and at ease with handling unexpected changes and challenges. 
  • Project Management Skilled in planning, coordinating, and executing upgrades, migrations, and implementation projects in order to complete assignments on-time and on-budget. 
  • Solid English language communication skills, both oral and written, are required for this highly collaborative role.  

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION  

Required: 

  • High School diploma or GED 
  • 3+ years of progressively responsible, relevant experience supporting M365 and SharePoint systems. 
  • 5+ years of progressively responsible experience as an IT administrator or in a similar role. 

Preferred: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems-related field. 
  • Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (Biotech, Financial, etc.)

The current pay range for this position is $97,000 - $128,000: Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time. Your salary will vary depending on several factors including your qualifications and experience.
